Description
“Hot Air Lifts New German Dirigible”. A look back at a design for a new type of hot-air balloon with an internal heating system that was developed and tested in Germany. This system used a oil-fired heating apparatus, carried in the basket, that could continuously pour hot air into the balloon's envelope, allowing for sustained flight.
