Vintage Belgian Military Signal Lamp,
Army Railway Lantern, 1950s
Introducing
our new vintage find – a vintage Belgian military lantern. The lantern's body
is made of steel, painted olive green, and features a classic field design.
Three sides feature shutters, behind which are orange and green colored glass
filters. The fourth side of the lantern opens, providing access to the oil
lamp, which is the lantern's light source. The oil container is made of steel,
and the burner is brass. The lamp has a wick adjuster and a glass chimney. The
brass burner, judging by the logo on the wick adjuster, is made by the renowned
German company "Brokelmann, Jaeger & Busse (BJB)".
This
authentic Belgian Army (ALB) signal lantern is in immaculate condition and
likely unused, making it a coveted piece for military collectors.

the shutters and door open and lock securely. Judging by the absence of carbon
deposits in the smoke exhaust duct, the lantern has never been used. There was
some oil residue in the oil lamp reservoir, which I removed. The lantern has
