This is a serigraph on canvas

The scene — two gauchos at a campfire grilling with one on a horse drinking mate. 

The fabric/linen substrate suggests this may be a Minneapolis-Moline calendar print or similar licensed commercial reproduction from the 1940s–1950s, printed on fabric rather than paper.

It does have number 225 on the back 

It does have marks in both bottom corners on the back but very hard to read. (See photos)

About the Artist

Molina Campos was a celebrated Argentine artist famous for his humorous and expressive depictions of gaucho life on the Pampas, whose Alpargatas calendar illustrations became major collector’s items. 

He also worked with Walt Disney and later illustrated calendars for Minneapolis-Moline from 1944–1958.
