Ortopad Eye Patches make patching fun and come in fun patterned patches and are available in three sizes:
- Junior - for children up to 2 (2 5/8" x 1 31/32")
- Medium - for children 2 – 4 (2 63/64" x 2-1/8")
- Regular - for children over 4 (3 11/32" x 2 5/16")
Ortopad Bamboo patches are made of a soft, natural bamboo material which allows the skin to breathe naturally and minimizes eyelid perspiration. With a growth of up to one meter per day, the bamboo plant is one of the fastest renewable resources. When harvesting the stalks, the entire plant remains, and the widely branched roots create new shoots over and over again. Due to its’ rapid growth, bamboo produces many times more biomass than, for example, traditional wood or cotton.
Ortopad patches have a special shape with nasal slits cut into the patch for a better fit close to the nose, allowing the patch to fit well under eye glasses. The opaque black inlay assures maximum shielding from light.
Ortopad eye patches contain a hypo-allergenic and latex-free adhesive, which is especially suitable for delicate and sensitive skin, and offers maximum comfort even with prolonged use.
Application Instructions: For optimal adhesion, ensure the skin around the eye is dry and clean before applying the Ortopad eye patch. Remove the wrapper by pulling apart from the center of the edge. After removing the paper backing on the patch, have your child close his/her eyelids slightly to relax facial muscles and avoid wrinkles. Place the patch over the eye, pointing the narrow side towards the nose. The slits help to flatten the patch against the nose, keeping the patch from interfering with glasses. Refrain from stretching either the patch or the skin. To ensure a secure fit, lightly rub over the adhesive to bring up to body temp. To remove the patch, peel gently starting at the nose, stretching the skin slightly with your fingers.
