Sevres Style Antique French Hand Painted Porcelain Bronze Ormolu Mounts Urn Vase


Features

The central vessel is made of porcelain with a "Bleu Céleste" (heavenly blue) or "Bleu Royal" ground. It features a hand-painted pastoral landscape vignette within an oval reserve, framed by gilded floral and scroll motifs.

• Ormolu Mounts: The urn is heavily adorned with gilt bronze (ormolu) elements

◦ Handles: Ornate twin handles in the form of rams' heads a common neoclassical motif.

◦ Finial: A decorative pinecone shaped finial at top of the lid.

◦ Base: A substantial, tiered square ormolu plinth with decorative molding and scrolled feet (often referred to as "toupie" or acanthus feet).

• Style: It is designed in the Louis XV / Neoclassical manner.

it carries the aesthetic of the famous Sèvres Royal Manufactory, many such pieces were produced by high-end Parisian workshops in the 19th century "in the style of" Sèvres to meet the demand for luxury decor.

A highly collectible and were designed as statement decorative objects for grand salons or libraries.
