Installation Guide

Product Overview

The brake caliper is a critical component of your vehicle's braking system. It houses the brake pads and pistons, converting hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder into mechanical force that clamps the pads against the rotors to slow or stop your vehicle. Working Principle 

The brake caliper operates using hydraulic pressure. When you press the brake pedal, brake fluid is forced from the master cylinder through the brake lines and into the caliper. This pressure pushes the piston(s) outward, which presses the brake pads against the brake rotor. The friction between the pads and rotor slows the wheel's rotation, bringing the vehicle to a stop.

In floating caliper designs, the caliper body slides on pins, allowing the piston to press the inner pad while the caliper body pulls the outer pad against the rotor. In fixed caliper designs, pistons on both sides of the rotor apply pressure simultaneously.

Installation Tips
