Offering a stunning early vintage (probably 1960s) Cousances round covered Dutch Oven or casserole in a rare vibrant yellow or golden orange color. Cousances, a historic French foundry that was established in 1553, was the precursor company to Le Creuset which purchased it in 1957. Numbered 22 on the lid and bottom. Holds 3 1/2 quarts. Made in France. Color is shiny and bright. Inside bottom is intact with no chips although it is discolored and marked from use. Minor chips to the rim of the pot and the lid. Pot measures 9" in diameter x 4" high.
