Purchasing/cancelations:
We allow all our auctions to run their course, without
offering a buy it now option, unless the item is listed as such. Unsold auction
items will either be relisted or passed on to our high street shops for sale.
When a buyer commits to buy something on eBay - by winning
an auction, agreeing to an offer with a seller, or selecting Buy It Now in a
listing - they are obligated to complete the purchase by sending full payment
to the seller.
Before they commit to buy, buyers should note:
- All
the terms that the seller has included in the listing, including shipping
and handling costs
- Placing
a bid on an auction is a commitment to buy, and bids
can only be retracted under exceptional circumstances
Failure to pay for items is a violation of ebay?s abusive
buyer policy.
Buyers must pay for the items they purchase on eBay within 4
calendar days.
If the buyer doesn't pay within this timeframe, we can
cancel the order and an unpaid cancellation will be recorded on the your
account.
Returns:
All our items are covered under our 30 day returns policy.
Where the item is listed as working but arrives faulty or not as described, we
will cover the cost of return and issue a full refund. For any other returns,
including Items listed as 'untested', ?sold as seen?, or returning for reasons
such as ?changed mind? or ?ordered by mistake? the original postage and return
postage costs are to be covered by the buyer.
We do not accept returns on items listed and described as
'spares or repairs'. These items are listed and sold as broken and faulty.
Orders returned with this condition described on their item will be reported to
eBay for miss using the returns policy.
Combined UK Postage:
We offer combined postage discounts on small items. If
discount isn't automatically applied at checkout, please contact us.
We ship majority of our items via Royal Mail and UPS. We do
not offer combined postage on large/heavy items.
International Shipping:
International shipping is offered via eBay's GSP only,
we cannot facilitate direct overseas shipping. We cannot see or alter the
amount quoted by eBay for this service. We understand that costs can be high
using this service, however, we do not have the capacity to offer any
international shipping outside of this.
Please note, customers using external companies to provide
international shipping do so at their own risk. Breakages and returns will not
be covered as we can not determine how safely your items are being shipped to
you.
Collection Only Items:
If an item is listed as collection only, then
we are only able to offer it for collection. Unfortunately, we cannot
facilitate packing these items for buyers to arrange their own couriers. Due to
the limited space we have available, items must be collected within 10 working
days, or the order may either be cancelled or subject to a storage charge.
Collection times are Monday-Friday 9-4 from Hove.
Saturday collection 9-5 is available if pre-arranged
before closing on Friday.

If you are not local to us but think you may have a
donation suitable for any of our online stores, please get in touch.
If you are in our Local area, please check our website for
donation drop off points.
We upload a wide variety of items throughout the week as
fixed price and auctions.

Last year we announced that Chestnut Tree House and our
sister hospice St Barnabas House would be merging with Martlets in Hove to
create one single hospice group. To allow us to complete some legal and
administrative functions, we've needed to identify a new name for the group:

Together, we support children, young people and adults who
have life-limiting conditions which will significantly shorten their lives. We
help those we care for, and their loved ones, to make the most of the precious
time they have left together. Our expert palliative services support local
communities across Sussex and South East Hampshire, at our hospice sites and in
people's homes.
