This is a large format antique/vintage albumen print titled at top “Interior of Police Headquarters in Guatemala 1881.”  I presume this was taken in the capitol city, Guatemala City.  There are 18 police officers in the photo.  The image area (the oval) measures approx. 18 by 24 cm (9 3/8 x 7.5 inches) and the mount is slightly bigger at 9.5 by 8.5 inches.  There’s a very small 1/8-inch (0.5 cm) tear at the extreme left margin, center.  This image came from the Culver Pictures archive which was offered by Jay Parrino through eBay about 15.  The back of the mount bears Culver’s stamps and Parrino’s small barcode.
