Vintage Mid-Century Family Scrapbook / Photo Album – Newspaper Clippings & Photos – Ohio Valley Local History
Vintage leatherette photograph album used as a family scrapbook filled with original newspaper clippings, photographs, and community notices. The album appears to document family and community events from the Ohio Valley area including Bridgeport, Lansing, and Wolfhurst.
The scrapbook contains numerous original newspaper clippings including obituaries, church announcements, local news stories, family notices, and community events. Many clippings reference local churches, parish activities, deaths, family reunions, and historical events from the area. Some clippings appear to be in a Slavic language (possibly Croatian or Slovene), suggesting the scrapbook may document an immigrant family community.
Also included are several photographs, including a vintage black and white band photo with signatures and a small portrait photo. The album itself features a decorative embossed cover with rope binding and black scrapbook pages typical of mid-20th-century scrapbooks.
This is a unique piece of regional history and would make a great addition for collectors of vintage scrapbooks, genealogy researchers, or those interested in Ohio Valley local history.
