One vintage item, from John Chatillon & Sons. Heavy duty, but compact, spring scale. Overall steel and iron construction with a bras dial face. Suspension ring and a lower goods ring. No hooks.

• size is about 5 3/4 inch for brass dial and a little more than 1 inch thick
• weight is about 2 lbs
• Date is early 20th century looks like.
• Condition is very good. Overall strong and straight with a nice strong quiet action. Brass is tarnished evenly. The backside looks like original paint that is worn with some oxidation seen. Tested as accurate but pointer is about 1 1/2 lbs under. This might indicate that something of that weight was used with lower hanging ring to carry product to be weighed. Pointer has a little wobble.
