Font Left Inner Tie Rod End designed for classic air-cooled Volkswagen vehicles. It is a critical steering component that connects the steering rack or steering box to the tie rod. Fits 1968-79 T-1 Beetle.
This part is standard for most air-cooled Volkswagens produced between 1968 and 1977, but it specifically does not fit Super Beetle models. Common fits include:
- VW Beetle (Standard): May 1968–1977.
- Karmann Ghia: May 1968–1974.
- VW Thing (Type 181): 1973–1974.
- Bus (T-2): Select late bay window models. 1968-on
- Position: Left Side (Driver Side), Inner position. Clockwise turn for installation on the tie rod tube.
- Thread Type: Right-hand thread.
- Cone Size: Often described as "Big Cone" or "Angled".
- Dimensions: Features 12mm x 1.5mm bolts for the spindle/pitman arm and 14mm x 1.5mm threads for the tie rod sleeve.
