The Pagani Design model PD-1661 is a rugged 152g Submariner styled diving watch with an automatic calendar date feature. The foundation of the timepiece is a 40mm x 14mm x 48mm 316L stainless steel case with brushed top and polished sides supporting an unidirectional rotating stainless steel knurled edged bezel with a black ceramic diver scale insert and a luminous marker on top. A flat scratch resistant sapphire crystal lens protects a cartwheel reflecting sunray sky blue dial encircled by a white 60 minute scale and raised polished silver indices filled with blue BGW9 Super Luminova lumin spaced in 5 minute intervals. The 12 o'clock indice is an arrow marker, the 6 and 9 indices are batons and the remaining indices are circles. The dial includes an automatic calendar date at the 3 o'clock position with the arabic numeral magnified by a "cyclops" lens positioned over the window. The hour and minute are indicated by lumin filled polished silver Mercedes styled hands including a slender polished silver secondhand balancing a lumin filled circle. The case is enclosed by a stainless steel exhibition caseback with a sapphire crystal window displaying the animation of the finely finished 24 jewel movement. The screwdown caseback and crown create significant water resistance rated to a depth of 100 meters (10ATM) which provides sufficient protection for everyday activities including watersports and swimming. The watch is paired with a 220mm (8.66in) brushed 316L stainless steel Oyster style 3 link bracelet that is adjusted using 6 removeable links with screw pins to comfortably fit most wrists. The sides of the bracelet are polished providing continuity with the polished sides of the watch case and the bracelet is secured with a milled stainless steel folding safety clasp engraved with the Pagani Design logo. The timepiece is powered by a high quality Japanese Seiko NH35A selfwinding mechanical movement providing 41 hours of time reserve and can be hand wound if only worn occasionally. The NH35A caliber operates at 21,600 bph (beats per hour) rate which provides a desirable smooth tracking motion of the second hand. The movement incorporates an automatic calendar date complication and includes a stop-second device which freezes the second hand when setting the time enabling precise adjustment to the exact second.
