A lovely, scarce 1934 hardcover edition of ETC Werner's Myths and Legends of China. Includes the original dust jacket in a protective mylar cover, as well as bookseller marks from the 'Sea Captain's Shop' in Shanghai, and the 'French Bookstore in Peiping, China.'  Book also includes a vintage business card from a jade & cloisonné dealer in Shanghai. Given these marks, I would assume the book was in fact purchased in Shanghai in the 1930s. A lovely edition of this early collection of Chinese myths and folklore.
