or printer. My Desperately Seeking 80s Susan jackets are carefully selected,
name-brand, department store quality blazers that are hand-crafted, one at a
time, with hand-painting and embellishments I create from scratch. With
proper care, your DSS jacket should last many years.

ABOUT THE JACKET:
All jackets are purchased either new or gently used, and come from trusted
vendors both in my town and across the internet. My pricing is based in part on
what I pay for a garment, which is why the “fancier” and designer label jackets
typically cost more.
Each Susan jacket features: a hand-painted gold mosaic motif on a painted black
background on the collar, lapels, (and cuffs where applicable. Some cuffs are
not suited for painting); a hand-stitched/hand-painted gold tissue lamé
separated pyramid trimmed with red cord, stainless steel and/or brass spacers,
and multi-colored glass beads; roughly hand-printed Roman numerals for 1776
"MDCCLXXVI" on the bottom pyramid and the painted Eye of Providence
on the top; one red felt banner bordered in gold cord with gold stainless steel
and/or brass spacers and hand-printed with "NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM".
This is a Latin phrase translating to "A New Order of the Ages,"
appearing on the reverse of the Great Seal of the United States and the U.S. $1
bill. Coined in 1782, it signifies the start of a new American era,
specifically referencing 1776 as the beginning of a new age.
All embellishments are done by my hand and may contain imperfections, the most
common being small paint and/or glue marks or "bleed through" on the
garment's lining or on unlined interior panels. Unlined jackets will also show
sewing on the interior. None of this is visible when the jacket is worn. Please
study images and write with any questions before ordering, and if your goal is
machine-like perfection in a hand-crafted garment, please do not order from me!

RETURN/REFUND POLICY FOR EMBELLISHED APPAREL - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
If your order isn’t liked or doesn’t fit, you may return for a refund. But
unless I sent the wrong item, you are responsible for all return shipping
costs. So, please familiarize yourself with the return policy below, and ask
questions BEFORE purchase.
Your embellished garment was carefully packed to prevent damage enroute to you.
Your return requires the same careful packing. If the garment is not returned
to me in a condition ready to sell, this will affect your refund.
1. Returns must be made in original packaging or a similarly sized, hard-sided
box. DO NOT SHIP IN A SOFT-SIDED ENVELOPE! Processing machinery may dislodge or
destroy the embellishments on your garment, thus adversely affecting your
refund.
2. When packing a "Susan" to ship, DO NOT FOLD DIRECTLY ON EITHER
PYRAMID! This could destroy the embellishments and make the garment unsellable.
Returns should be received looking as they did when delivered.
3. Though you are not required to ship your return with insurance and
tracking/delivery confirmation, failure to do so means if the return is lost or
damaged in transit or not received in a condition ready to sell, you may not
receive a refund.
4. The Art by Victoria Skye tag and/or any security tags or ties, must not have
been removed.
5. Garments must not have been worn except to try on,
6. Garments must not have been cleaned or altered in any way.
7. Should you wish to return accessories collection and/or earring, please
contact me for packing and shipping instructions first.
8. Unless we previously agree at time of purchase, you must contact me within 7
DAYS OF receiving your order to initiate a refund, and return within 14 DAYS of
contacting me. If this is a gift, let me know when purchasing!
