The Hertz ES F20.5 from the Energy 5 range is an ultra-flat 8" (200mm) subwoofer designed for tight spaces without sacrificing output. With 600W peak power handling, high sensitivity, and a slim installation profile, it’s ideal for stealth installs in modern vehicles where depth is limited but real bass performance is still the goal.
-
Built around an ultra-flat design for maximum install flexibility, the ES F20.5 pairs a massive motor assembly with a water-repellent pressed paper cone to stay controlled under high power and high excursion conditions. A copper voice coil wound on an aluminium former improves thermal handling, while Hertz’s air decompression ducting under the dust-cap helps maintain symmetry at high excursion and improves heat dissipation.
Reliability is enhanced with a resin-bonded fibre spider, high-current tin-plated terminals, silver-plated lead wires, and a basket/motor assembly damped with special epoxy glue. The result is a compact subwoofer engineered for clean, punchy low-end from a shallow-mount footprint.
