The obverse features a raised portrait of a Soviet political figure in formal attire, surrounded by a Cyrillic inscription identifying the individual by name and initials. These medals were typically issued for anniversaries, commemorations, or institutional recognition and were not intended for circulation as currency.

This example is struck in bronze or copper alloy and retains an attractive dark patina consistent with age.
