Ultra-High Molecular Weight (UHMW) Polyethylene is a low-friction, slick material that prevents sticking and binding, these rods are often machined into bushings and bearings for wear type applications. UHMW is impact and wear resistant.

UHMW can sag under its own weight if unsupported, requiring backing for structural rigidity in many applications. Its high molecular weight provides exceptional durability and low friction, but its inherent softness means it deforms (creeps) under sustained stress

Diameters are produced oversized to finish to listed size.
