Puppetry c.1913 Indian Playbill Starring “D’Arcy Verne’s Royal Marionettes”

A c.1913 playbill printed on salmon coloured paper for the “Alcazar” Cinema in Kalbadevi (Bombay) starring D’Arcy Verne’s Royal Marionettes “Just arrived, direct from South Africa…first appearance in India after 16 years”, illustrated with a photograph of a young lady with a variety of puppets. 

Undated, though from a small group of posters from this period.

Approx. 162x500mm., a few small peripheral tears, creasing and folds, though overall most attractive.
