"8 Men Out" 1919 BLACK SOX set

In 1999, baseball artist Monty Sheldon and baseball historian and card dealer Mark Macrae teamed up to produce this outstanding set of 8 cards picturing the unique hand-painted baseball art of Mr. Sheldon. The set marks the 80th anniversary of the dark event.

Each card measures 2-1/8 by 2-1/2 inches, features dramatic colors on high quality stock and is stylishly designed. It is a set worthy of any national issue and an interesting addition to the best of collections.

Included are cards of the 8 Men Out - banned from organized baseball for participating (however insignificantly) in fixing the 1919 World Series between the Chicago White Sox and the Cincinnati Reds.
