Brand new Guitar Parts Zone "The Custom" Underwound Humbucking Alnico 3 Pickup in Gold with a cover made of Nickel made in the style of the original vintage humbucker by Gibson. This underwound version of "The Custom" retains all of these features of the regular Custom but it has fewer windings on the bobbins which results in more clearly defined overtones and harmonics. It has a brighter tone in the rhythm position making it perfect for pairing with a standard Custombucker in the treble position. This pickup provides a warm, full tone with a balanced response, packing that classic Gibson PAF humbucker crunch. They are made to the exact same specs as the original PAFs, including Alnico 3 magnets, nickel-plated pole pieces, nickel slugs, wound with 42AWG plain enamel copper wire, unbalanced coils that are left unpotted to produce a historically correct PAF tone and vintage-style 14" long two-conductor braided wiring. These are made to emulate Gibson's historic PAF Custombucker of the 50's era. Great replacement or as an upgrade for any brand electric guitar or for that custom project. Outstanding price, quality and tone at approximately 7.4K, 4.6H which can vary slightly and can be used in either the neck or bridge position. Ideally wired with 500k pots for great high-end cut or you could use other types for your preference. This pickup is great for playing a wide range of music styles including jazz, country, heavy blues, classic rock, southern rock and hard rock.
