"F's Uke" is a handmade ukulele crafted by Tatsuro Furubayashi, a student of Yukinobu Chai, founder of Chai Guitar Studio, which has produced many great luthiers.

Tatsuro Furubayashi dreamed of becoming a guitar maker since his university days, and spent 12 years training in string instrument crafting at Yukinobu Chai's workshop in Machida City. In 2010, he went independent and established the F's Uke handmade ukulele workshop in Iruma City, Saitama Prefecture. He has now moved to Hokota City, Ibaraki Prefecture, where he continues to research masterful string instruments and receives guidance from his predecessors, many of whom have worked at Chai Studio. He strives to create a new level of ukulele excellence. His works have been praised by many professional musicians and featured in specialist magazines.

This is a concert model with a spruce top and rosewood back and sides. Its sound lies somewhere between a guitar and a ukulele, making it a fitting ukulele for Furubayashi, who crafts and researches both guitars and ukuleles. It has an appealingly crisp sound, and the wood binding gives it a luxurious feel.

There are some scratches and other signs of use that are not visible in the images, but overall it is in excellent condition. There is plenty of fret space left and the neck is in good condition, so it is ready to play right away.

This is a recommended guitar for those looking for a great value model made in a Japanese workshop.
