---Contact us for Negotiation and Bulk Purchases---

Purple Pepino (Solanum muricatum) is a unique pepino cultivar distinguished by its creamy base skin color overlaid with deep purple to violet striping and its refreshing, mildly sweet flavor. Commonly referred to as purple pepino, this variety adapts well to mild tropical and subtropical climates, especially in highland areas with cool temperatures and good sunlight. The plant grows as a semi-woody, bushy perennial with a spreading habit and performs well when supported and pruned regularly. Its fruits are oval to oblong, medium to large in size, and highly attractive for specialty and premium markets. The flesh is soft, juicy, and aromatic, offering a balanced sweetness with subtle melon and cucumber-like notes. With stable yields, early fruiting, and good adaptability, Purple Pepino is suitable for home gardens and niche commercial cultivation.
