BAIRSTOW MANOR POTTERY

Up for sale I have this wonderful Sir Winston Churchill with Clementine figure from Bairstow Manor Pottery in Staffordshire. This figure was issued after Sir Winston was voted the greatest Briton ever in a poll in 2002. The figure shows Sir Winston with Clementine on the eve of his retirement in April 1955.

This figure is approx. 8 inches/20cm high and the main issue was issued in a Limited Edition of up to just 350. This one is a 'show special' colourway. It is brand new and was obtained direct from the manufacturer. It is 1st quality and is fully stamped underneath as a show special (see photo).

All Manor Pottery items are hand-made and painted and so minor surface marks and scratches are not unusual. I examine each one and mention any of these minor points. On this one there are a few of the usual dots, pimples, paint lines and minor surface firing splits (see photos) - nothing unusual.

A wonderful figure and seldom seen, especially as a colourway.
