This lovely vintage instrument has all the attributes of a fine European trade violin from the early 20th century, unlabeled/undated, but clearly crafted in classic workshop fashion. The violin is structurally strong and cosmetically beautiful. Varnish is a luminous red/orange over golden base applied to the medium grained spruce top and dramatic flamed maple back and matching sides.

The instrument has clearly been well-played through its many decades, evidenced by the rich patina that can only be acquired by a true antique. It has also been well-maintained with no open cracks or seams and no detectable significant damage of any kind - only the commonly seen small closed, repaired crack near the treble f hole.

The violin’s strong tonal qualities project easily across its entire range from a dark, powerful g string, through its noble middle range, up to a radiant high end.

This distinctive instrument arrives in a vintage Roth case, in very nice condition, protected by a clean canvas cover with zippered music/accessory pocket. This sensibly-priced old world classic is a great way to add a violin with history and character to your collection. It also makes a great step-up instrument for a young musician moving up to a more sophisticated violin. You supply the bow (not included) and this carefully packed, newly strung instrument arrives postage-free, ready to enjoy.
