Original WWII U.S. Army Air Forces enlisted man’s wool shirt with full insignia. This shirt is in excellent vintage condition and features the following:

• Right Shoulder: U.S. Army Air Forces winged star patch

• Left Shoulder: 5th Air Force patch

• Both Sleeves: Sergeant chevrons

• Lower Left Sleeve: 7 overseas service bars (denoting 3.5 years overseas service)

• Collar: Retains original WWII metal collar stay buttons

• Size Tag: 14.5 x 33 (pink cloth tag marked “36741 AC”)

• Material: Olive drab wool blend

The 5th Air Force was one of the most active air commands in the Pacific Theater during WWII, flying combat missions from Australia, New Guinea, and the Philippines. This shirt’s overseas bars indicate a veteran with significant service time abroad.
