To mark the album's 25th anniversary, Suffering Souls – Twilight Ripping Souls Apart has been re-recorded, including the newly recorded EP Cries of Silence and two exclusive live tracks.
SUFFERING SOULS is the powerful incarnation of extreme Metal. Melodic Black Metal with decent, symphonic influences combined with some powerful Death Metal parts. The band started in 1994 under the name "Dismal", which shortly to changed "SUFFERING SOULS".
The artwork features the distorted Jesus head in extreme close-up – a dark, disturbing reinterpretation of the original cover. Symbolism, decay, and suffering merge into an image that perfectly captures the album’s dark essence and immediately immerses the viewer in its atmosphere.
This re-recording celebrates 25 years of the first full length album and unites the original vision with enhanced sonic intensity.
Additionally, the anniversary package includes:
- the re-recorded EP „Cries of Silence“ (1999)
- two live tracks from 1998, capturing the raw energy of the early years
