The 10 figures in 10 poses make up a nice collection of WWII German Kettenkrad and Raketenwerfer crew in some very good quality poses. There are 3 crew for the Kettenkrad and 7 for the Raketenwerfer.

The Sd Kfz 2 Kleines Kettenkraftrad HK101, better known as the Kettenkrad, was a light tractor initially designed for airborne troops. It could be steered by both the handlebars at slow speed and the tracks at higher speed and even without the front road wheel.

They were used to tow light artillery, such as the 37mm Pak36, and cargo in the Sd Ahn 1 trailer. Other uses include lay communication cables, transporting personnel and as a tractor to tow aircraft to the runways - in particular the Me262 and Arado Ar234 jets in order to save aviation fuel.

The Raketenwefer 43 'Puppchen' (Dolly) was an 88mm reusable anti tank rocket launcher. It was produced between 1943 and 1945 and fired a fin-stabilised grenade with a shaped charge warhead which was fired from a small two wheel carriage. The Puppchen was crewed by 2 men and was provided to infantry units to increase their anti-tank capability. The Puppchen was not produced in large numbers when compared with the Panzerfaust and Panzerschreck anti tank weapons.

These are a welcome addition to Caesar's range of German figures with realistic poses.

Moulded in soft plastic, the mouldings are very high quality with lots of detail and provide a lovely set of soldiers to supplement other WWII German Infantry available for wargaming or a diorama.
