Original 1920's postcard size penny arcade card issued by ESCO

GENE TUNNEY ~ World's Heavyweight Champion, pose #3 | Vintage Boxing Exhibit card

Gene Tunney was World's Heavyweight Boxing Champion, 1926-1928

Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago (ESCO), which continuously published large format trading cards for more than four decades, issued this card (approximately) in the late 1920's to early 1930's.

Card size is approximately 3-3/8" by 5-3/8". Cards of this size fit in standard 4-pocket collector pages with full card coverage.

ANY number of single cards (up to and including 8" X 10" in size) will be shipped for the single card USPS Ground Advantage shipping rate if the buyer requests and waits for a combined invoice before paying. Questions? Email us.

Condition: Good with pinhole at top (presents well) - check the high-resolution scans. This is the actual card the buyer will receive. A blue background has been provided to assist in evaluating card edges and corners.

Postscript: Our last scan has nothing to do with this listing. It is a picture of all-time baseball great Ted Williams with The Baseball Hobbyist's Steve Mitchell at a 1983 Connecticut sports collectors gathering - Ted's very first-ever collector event. On the second day of the show "The Splendid Splinter" visited with collectors and dealers and graciously posed for this photo. (Photo was taken by fellow collector-dealer Bob Thing, longtime Maine hobbyist).
