The concert recording is now available as a standalone on CD and vinyl for the first time

Warner Music has announced the release of "Pink Floyd Live At Knebworth 1990", which will be released on CD and double vinyl for the first time. The concert was part of the Silver Clef winners' star-studded performance at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire in 1990, which was headlined by Pink Floyd.

At the memorable Silver Clef Awards concert in Knebworth, Pink Floyd led an all-star lineup including Paul McCartney, Dire Straits, Genesis, Phil Collins, Mark Knopfler, Robert Plant (with JIMMY Page), Cliff Richard, Eric Clapton and Tears For Fears. Around 120,000 music fans saw these rock giants gather on the hallowed Knebworth stage to perform in aid of the Nordoff-Robbins Foundation. All proceeds from the concert, which was broadcast live on MTV, went towards building the BRIT School .

David Munns, Chairman of Nordoff Robbins, remembers the event well: »The Knebworth concert was a pivotal moment in terms of the music industry's commitment to Nordoff Robbins, the BRIT Trust and the BRIT School concept. It was a fantastic day, culminating in this brilliant performance by Pink Floyd. The funds raised laid the foundation for the BRIT School and enabled Nordoff Robbins to significantly expand its offerings. Knebworth will go down in history as a great moment and the music industry should be very proud of what has been achieved.«

Nick Mason also looks back fondly on the concert: »Knebworth has a very special magic. We all still have fond memories of performing there in the 70s and this show was no different. As a boy from north London it was almost a home game for me, plus the joy of getting back together with the rest of the band after a pretty gigantic tour that lasted well over a year. It was also an opportunity to have the great Candy Dulfer play - I had been a fan of hers for a while and it was a shame that there wasn't more opportunity to involve her more often. Last but not least, we were able to welcome as a guest our dear friend Michael Kamen, who had contributed so much to Pink Floyd over the previous ten years, so it's great that he can also be heard on the recording.«

Pink Floyd - David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright - were joined for their set by members of their touring band, namely Guy Pratt, Jon Carin, Tim Renwick and Gary Wallis. Backing vocals came from Durga McBroom, Sam Brown and her mother Vicki, as well as Clare Torry (the original singer of The Great Gig In The Sky). Pink Floyd welcomed saxophonist Candy Dulfer and keyboardist and composer Michael Kamen to the stage as guest musicians.

David Gilmour and Andy JACKSON have remixed all seven tracks from this legendary concert, and the album also features new artwork that was photographed by Floyd's original creative partner Aubrey "Po" Powell and designed by Peter Curzon of Storm Studios. The concert, which was released for the first time ever with the “The Later Years” box set in 2019, is now being released as a CD or double vinyl set and is therefore available as a standalone album for the first time.

The concert was first released in “The Later Years” box set from 2019 and is now finally getting the stand-alone release it deserves. The track listing will definitely make the hearts of all Floyd fans beat faster.
