Secondary Air Injection Pump Hose

The secondary air injection pump is responsible for introducing fresh air into the vehicle's exhaust system to help heat the catalytic converter and reduce the emissions your car outputs. Throughout the life of your vehicle, this pump can become weak not allowing enough fresh oxygen into your exhaust system to heat your catalytic converter which will result in your check engine light coming on. It is important to note that failure to replace the secondary air injection pump when it is faulty will result in not passing an emissions test.
