| For the Baseball Hobbyist E-135 Collins-McCarthy REPRINT Philadelphia Phillies Team Set ~ all 14 cards Reprints of 1917 early candy cards by Zee Nut candy maker This team reprint card set of the 1917 Collins-McCarthy Candy Co. was issued several years ago although the issuer and exact date is unknown. The card is marked "Reprint" on the reverse side/lower right corner and, like the original, measures 2" by 3-1/4". Each card features a black and white photograph with player name, team identification and card number on the front, and carries the Collins trademark shield and other information identifying the historic company on the reverse side. Unlike other sets of the period, Collins-McCarthy's "Baseball's Hall of Fame" features many players in action, rather than portraiture. Furthermore, in our experience, this reprint is quite difficult to find and offers collectors - especially team specialists - an affordable alternative to the originals which typically sell for more than $100.00 per card in top condition. *All cards included in this offer are pictured. This is a complete team as issued by Collins-McCarthy but does not include all players who performed for the team in 1917. The 1917 Philadelphia Phillies were led to a second place finish in the National League pennant race on the 30-year-old right arm of Grover Cleveland Alexander who won 30 of 43 decisions. Included in this team set are: #2 Grover Alexander ~ #12 Dave Bancroft ~ #18 Eddie Burns ~ #23 Bobbie Byrne ~ #35 Gavvy Cravath ~ #93 Wm. Killefer, Jr. ~ #96 Jimmy Lavender ~ #102 Fred Luderus ~ #110 J. Erskine Mayer ~ #128 J. A. Niehoff ~ #130 Dode Paskert ~ #139 Eppa Rixey, Jr. ~ #169 Milton Stock ~ #188 Geo.
