The is a vintage vase featuring hand-painted flying cranes in deep coral red and gold colors, possibly originating from Japan. The design is influenced by Japanese culture and could also be found in Korean & Chinese art based on my internet searches for this beauty. A friend said the writing is Korean. Someone else said Chinese. I thought it was perhaps Japanese based on the style.

It feels smooth and I see no flaws other than in the bottom could use a good bath - by a knowledgeable person.
