Up for sale is the LIRICO MC head amplifier (NOT a phono stage) for moving coil cartridge in original packing. It was made by a Japanese analogue audio manufacturer Fidelix. 

This item is literally new as it was only played for less than 10 hours for sound check after sourced from a Japanese audio retailer in mid 2025. Since it has been plugged in to briefly make sound, it could not be rated as Opened but Not Used. The reason for sale is to rationalise the stack of equipment due to unexpected changes to the audio system lately. 

Powered by re-chargeable batteries, LIRICO champions one of the world's highest levels of low noise measured at -156 dBV, and was bestowed the Analogue Grand Prix Award as well as the Audio Masterminded Award 2020 in Japan. The six high quality Toshiba Impulse batteries support 20 playing hours for each fully charged and 500 cycles of re-charge based on the battery manufacturer, i.e. some 10,000 operating hours before having to replace them. 

LIRICO sonic quality is nothing short of extraordinary making it an ideal substitute for Step Up Transformers (SUT) offering a different kind of sonic flavour when paired with an MC cartridge. This head amp produces ample gain of 26 dB comparable to a standard SUT. 

It also comes as a easy solution to those who are keen to experience the descent sounding MC cartridges but are limited by the amplifiers/receivers with only an MM phono input. Head amps are left to production by very few brands in today's audio market, not to mention that one with an exceptional sonic quality is even harder to come by.
