In 14. Year of her band history, Imagine Dragons published her new, fifth studio album in 2021. "Mercury - Act 1" is the successor of "Origins" from 2018.

"Wrecked" was written and produced by lead singer Dan Reynolds and the other band members Wayne Sermon, Ben McKee and Daniel Platzman. The powerful-rohe song deals openly about grief, loss and progress. Reynolds wrote the song shortly after his sister -in -law died of cancer.

"Follow You" was inspired by a "life -changing" message that he had received from his wife after not talking to her for seven months while he was on the way to completing her divorce. Imagine Dragons were founded in 2008 in her home country of Las Vegas, Nevada.
