The renowned composer and director John Carpenter publishes his first non-soundtrack album after almost five years: "Lost Themes III: Alive After Death".

John called the first "Lost Themes" album "a soundtrack for the films in her head". These films are even more alive on »Alive After Death«, although the song titles are among its most impressive. The lead single "Weeping Ghost" conjures up its title figure excitingly in a synthesizer sow and lets the listener stand up to the audience, while the acoustic ghost stalls through the halls of a dilapidated manor house. The pulsating "The Dead Walk" makes the zombie apocalypse appear like a rave. The dark, atmospheric final title "Carpathian Darkness" throws shadows on the album with its strikingly effective minimal piano and sparkling synthesizer splashes.

Each of the ten songs is a universe in itself. Carpenter's Renaissance as a musician was underpinned by his collaboration with Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies. Since the first "Lost Themes" album composed in 2015 and appear as a trio: on studio albums, on soundtracks and on stage. Here the trio reaches a new level of the creative mental merger. In the interaction of Davies' guitar and the dueling synthesizers of the Carpenters, richly rendered worlds are created.
