The Ultradisc One-Step 180g 45RPM 2LP box from Mobile Fidelity, which comes from the original analog master bands, was pressed on MOFI Supervinyl and is strictly limited to 12,000 numbered copies, presents the groundbreaking album with suspicious detail, tonality and directness. It is the first time that the beloved LP was prepared in audiophile quality. It is one of six iconic Mitchell panels from the 1970s, which Mobile Fidelity represents as vinyl and SACD sets.
Everything about "Blue" sounds even more intimate, rousing and unintentionally on this transparent pressing, which is achieved by a practically non -existent background noise and an outstanding groove definition. Mitchell's voice, which is in the foreground and is mainly accompanied by minimalist acoustic guitars, piano and chopping board game, comes into its own. Floating notes and radiant chords serve as a question mark, commas and phrases. The presence in the room and the spatial dimensionality illustrate the entire Spektrum of introspective emotions - pain and grief, self -knowledge and joy, difficulties and uncertainty, warmth and longing - which mitches through, questions and contemplates. The defenselessness of which the singer once spoke will be disclosed here like never before.
The packaging of the "Blue" -ud1S set underlines the outstanding status of the album. Both LPs are housed in a deluxe box and come in special, foil-shaped covers with faithful graphics that highlight the splendor of the recording. This UD1S reversal is a curatorial artifact for listeners who want to appreciate sound quality and production and want to get involved in everything that has to do with the album, including the unforgettable cover photos of a thoughtful Mitchell, recorded by Tim Considine.
Ultradisc One-Step (UD1S) procedure
The Ultradisc One-Step (UD1S) procedure by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab circumvents the generation losses of the traditional three-stage coating process by saving two steps: the production of father and mother plates that are created in such a way that numerous stamples arise from every cut paint. In the UD1S coating, the Stampers (also called "converts") are made directly from the paints. Since each paint only results in a matrix, several varnishes have to be cut. Mobile Fidelity's UD1S procedure creates an LP with the lowest possible background noise. Due to the elimination of two steps of the coating process, musical details and dynamics are also visible, which would be lost in the conventional multi -stage process. With UD1S, every aspect of vinyl production is optimized to produce the best -sounding vinyl album that is available today.
Mofi supervinyl
The mopy supervinyl developed by NeoTech and RTI is the most demanding vinyl mix that has ever been developed. Analog lover have never seen (or heard) anything. The extraordinarily expensive and extremely elaborate special mixture aims at two specific improvement areas: reduction in the background noise and improved groove definition. The vinyl composition has a new carbon -free dye (hold the disc against the light and see it) and generates the quietest surface in the world. This high -resolution formula also enables the production of clean grooves that cannot be distinguished from the original paint. Mofi supervinyl offers the greatest approach to what the engineers of the label hear in the mastering laboratory.
