Billy Talent start the festival season with a new album
Fear of heights would not have been expected from Billy Talent, since they have been playing on the largest festival stages in the world for years. The Canadian alternative rockers with three number one albums have also been high up in the charts. Her new album is still called "Afraid of Heights".
But this title, which also gives the first single its name, is to be understood as a metaphor. It is about getting ready with challenges and fears to get the struggle with yourself or with society and about standing up again after falling.
Billy Talent has recently learned this himself. Because of his MS disease, drummer Aaron Solowoniuk had to take a break for "Afraid of Heights". He was represented in the studio by Alexisonfire drummer Jordan Hastings, who also steps in at the upcoming livegigs and festivals.
