"Outside" is 20. Studio album by David Bowie. Brian Eno, who had already supported Bowie at the Berlin Trilogy, is there again.
The album bears the subtitle "The ritual art murder of Baby Grace Blue: A non-linear Gothic Drama Hyper-Cycle" is about the figures of a dystopian world on the eve of the 21st Century. The album brought Bowie back to the mainstream scene of rock music with the singles "The Hearts Filthy Lesson", "Strangers when we meet" and "Hello Spaceboy" (newly mixed by the Pet Shop Boys).
An author of the magazine Time Out wrote: »[Das] buildings from sounds, cultures, rhythms, samples and textures, with indiscriminately texts that tell less a story than to generate words of words, has offered the open -minded listener Bowie's best album for 15 years.
"Outside" in UK brought it to the world's highest placement with position 8, in Germany it was only enough for 33.
