Enigma is one of the most successful music projects in some times. The project, which was launched in 1990 by the musician and composer Michael Cretu, has more than 70 million worldwide album sales, countless #1 positions and more than 100 platinum awards.
All eight studio albums that originally appeared between 1990 and 2016 were published in 2018 in a limited, colored vinyl edition and with explicitly redesigned artwork. Due to the enormous fan demand, there will now be a new edition of the complete Enigma studiocatalog on black vinyl. The artworks receive a special metallic look and were pressed to 180g. At the same time, the compilation »Love Sensuality Devotion: The Greatest Hits«, which was published in 2001, is also published as a vinyl.
Michael Cretu, born in Bucharest in 1957, came to Germany in the mid -1970s. Although he was a classically trained concert pianist, he soon turned to pop music and worked with Boney M., among other things, after the first successful steps as a soloist, he decided to pull the threads as a producer and composer. He made his breakthrough with the debut single "Maria Magdalena". At the end of the 1980s he started looking for new musical paths and created the Enigma project. With a conceptual mix of atmospheric sound landscapes and multifaceted instrumental colors, he led the genre of electronic music to new, successful paths.
