Gagas homage to Joanna

Lady Gaga is back. With "Joanne", the American pop icon in 2016 presents its new, now fifth studio album.

The expectations are of course high. Most recently, Gaga had recorded a duo album with jazz legend Toy Bennett in 2014 with "Cheek to Cheek". Your last solo slate »Artpop« has been three years ago. Like album one and two, both long players landed at the absolute top of the charts.

And many reasons suggest that "Joanne" will be no less successful. First of all, there would be the long list of colleagues who supported Gaga in songwriting, including singer-songwriter Father John Misty, Stoner-Rock-Legende Josh Homme (Queens of the Stoneage), guitarist and singer Beck as well as guitarist, DJ and star producer Mark Ronson, who also co-produced the album. He also co -responsible for the first single "Perfect Illusion", which was already on 9. September published. As a guest singer, none other than singer Florence Welsh (Florence and the Mashine) is there on "Joanne". So it seems that Lady Gaga again presents a varied mix with her fifth studio album.

Incidentally, the name »Joanne« is a tribute to Gaga's aunt Joanna. She died when the singer was 19 years old. Gaga's second first name also comes from her (Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta).
