Lebensstille is a Post-Black Metal band from southern Germany, formed in 2021. The band combines German lyrics delivered with a mix of screeched, growled, and shouted vocals about the dark side of life. The band name serves as a synonym for depression. Following the resounding success of their debut album "Wenn das Leben seinen Lauf nimmt…" from 2023 in the underground scene, they return with a second release, the " Abgrund Tief " EP.
After the first year of rehearsals, Doomhammer took over the role as the main vocalist and bandleader when the previous guitarist and vocalist left. Illusion joined as the new rhythm guitarist. At this time, the recordings for the first album began, and their first live show took place in December 2022. The first album, containing seven songs, was independently released on CD by Lebensstille in September 2023. After more than 20 concerts following the release, the recordings for the second release started in Fall/Winter 2024. At the beginning of 2025, drummer Mike Black and lead guitarist F.H. left the band due to personal reasons but still contributed their parts to the EP recordings. They were quickly replaced by Anti and Razorwitch to continue the band's vision. Razorwitch completes the sound palette with her female backup screams, giving the band's vocal styles a distinctive flair. Musically, the sound can be described as a mixture of classic Black Metal passages, heavy Death Metal riffs, and a modern Post-Black Metal touch.
In the band's history, they have opened for many well-known Black Metal bands like Firtan, Vorga, Godskill, Servant, and Maahes. To celebrate and promote the EP release, the band has already planned multiple shows around Germany in Fall/Winter 2025.
In 2025 Lebensstille signed with Fetzner Death Records! Through them they release the second release the “ Abgrund Tief ” EP on September 26th in physical format exclusively on MC. Join the unholy raid!
