I guess dating garcia mitchell reels by serial number is difficult.  This is a 7 digit serial number.And if I understand their are serial numbers, this is a vintage  (fifties ?) reel.  Again I am unsure of the date.

Real is in great shape considering its age.  Please see pictures.
