Antique original watercolor and ink cityscape of Warsaw’s Old Town Market Square (Rynek Starego Miasta), dated 1918 and signed by the artist (appears to read “Śliż”). This beautifully detailed painting captures the historic buildings, horse carriage, and bustling café scene of Warsaw shortly after Poland’s independence was restored in 1918.

The piece is professionally matted and framed under glass in a vintage wood frame measuring approximately 22.5” x 18”. The backing paper shows wear and age, but the artwork and mat remain in excellent antique condition with vibrant color.

A rare and historic artwork that would make a striking addition for collectors of Polish art, European architectural scenes, or early 20th-century watercolors.
