Here's an original 1870s hand blown glass target ball with a crude flared out lip.... It is called a "target ball" by collectors because it was used as a target by throwing it into the air. Although this ball is empty, originally it was filled with feathers which flew out into the air when hit by a shotgun pellet showing the spectators that it was a successful hit. This ball is unembossed....Hand blown in 3 part mold....very crude jagged flared lip...beautiful golden amber...2 3/4"tall....(2 1/2"diameter)......Excellent shiny nice condition with no chips or damage; it has the usual in making roughness of the lip from when the blowpipe was just popped off the mouth.....I wonder if this target ball could have been used in one of the wild west shows that toured the country back in the 1880s?....FREE SHIPPING WITH TRACKING ANYWHERE WITHIN THE U.S.A....THIS IS A FIXED PRICE, BUY IT NOW ITEM FOR SALE IN MY STORE...
