The design has a continuity between the front and back, like a Möbius strip. Designed with stage use in mind, it has a beautiful three-dimensional shape that is also appealing when viewed from the audience.

A shape that seamlessly transitions from an acoustic violin

Shared the same shape as an acoustic violin, allowing for the use of standard commercially available shoulder rests. While a shoulder rest is not included, those already playing an acoustic violin can simply swap out their familiar shoulder rest for continued use.

Organic design that makes the most of the texture and material of the wood

Commitment to sound

In order to respond to the musical expression sought by the performer, we pursued natural tone and response.

Body

Carefully selected materials, primarily maple, mahogany, and spruce, are used in a five-layer structure to achieve a natural tone with good response.

*The structure is the same as the YEV105BL, but it is hidden by the finish.

Frame

The five-layer walnut frame with an oil finish combines flexibility and strength, contributing not only to the distinctive design but also to the creation of a natural resonance.

Pickup

Equipped with the same type of high-output passive pickup as the well-established SV250, which is built into the bridge. It captures the overall resonance of the instrument while faithfully reproducing the clarity of sound onset and the expressive nuances of bowing techniques.

Switch

The switch allows you to choose between direct output (Direct Out) of the pickup signal or output via the volume control. Using Direct Out allows the instrument to fully utilize its original performance, resulting in a rich, punchy low-end sound.
