Early Provincial by Ucagco Set of 3 Rectangular Dishes in Rattan Caddy

The pattern features a design of hand-painted roosters, roses, green leaves, and a yellow top edge with red hash marks.

Very hard to find this piece, which features 3 dishes nestled in a caddy with collapsible carrying handles. The caddy has wear on the corners, particularly on the handles, where you can see the previous owner has secured with tape (I’m thinking glue is a better choice, but I’ll leave that up to the buyer). Dishes are in great shape. Some fine crazing can be seen in bright light, but no serious issues. All are marked hand painted on the bottoms. Please see all photos.

Each dish is 6 1/2" long x 4" wide x 1 1/2" deep. The caddy is 13" long x 7 1/2" wide x 2" deep x 6" with handles raised.

A fun piece to add to your collection, and perfect for a farmhouse or French provincial kitchen!

Made in Japan between 1953 - 1961 as part of the Early Provincial line, long since retired.
