Description

Our German M40 Field Grey Wool Tunic is a must-have for any German Soldier portrayal. Benefitting from an 80% wool material, the jacket looks and feels authentic, giving that feeling every portrayal must have. The tunic has a generic 5-buttoned front, which is plastic capped and textured to make the tunic easy to remove in all conditions. It also has 4 front pockets – perfect for pocket litter, the bible or a picture of a special someone from back home. These tunics also come with white pipped shoulder boards that can easily be replaced.

The M40 Tunic itself was first seen in 1940, and by the following year, they were the most commonly worn uniform by German troops. Their introduction removed the unnecessary shoulder straps and darkened colour creating a uniformed uniform. Unlike our M43 design, this does have pleated pockets as they did not need to save materials.

Field Grey (Feldgrau) was the standard uniform colour of the German Army during World War II — a greenish-grey shade chosen for its practicality in a range of environments. It offered effective camouflage in European terrain and became one of the most recognisable colours of the German Wehrmacht throughout the war.

Delivery

We offer free standard UK delivery (1-3 days) on all of our products (with the exception of spray paints) via RoyaL Mail. We also aim to offer UK Next Working Day Delivery as an upgrade option across our range.

We ship most of our products worldwide however some products may be too large/heavy to ship internationally. Some products may be restricted to UK mainland only or may be resitrcted in certain countries.

Worldwide shipping is sent via tracked airmail and typically arrives in most countries within 1-2 weeks however we ask that all international customers allow upto 4 weeks to account for any delays.

Returns

We're happy to accept returns within 30 days of receiving your order. In some circumstances, we are happy to accept returns outside of this window however you will need to get in touch.

Products should be returned unused, in their original packaging and with any labels still attached. We cannot accept returns on open foods, spray paints or underwear.

If you have any issues with your order/items, please contact us immediately, we will do our best to resolve any issues for you.

International customers wishing to return an item will need to send it back to our UK warehouse.

It was founded in 2003, and moved to Aberystwyth in 2006 when the current family owners took it over. Our current warehouse was purchased in 2010 and with the successful growth of the company we built an adjoining warehouse extension in 2015. We recently expanded our site again in 2020 to support our ever-growing product range, bringing our total floor space to 1500m2. Our site setup includes offices, staff facilities, warehousing, packing and stock in room, plus spray booth/workshop and a bespoke photography studio.

The company ethos is to provide good quality product at a fair price, backed up by good old fashioned customer service, with quick dispatch and shipping. All the products we sell are in-stock, we take our own photos, and write our own accurate and honest product descriptions.
