PAINTING: Oil on canvas. The painting is an idyllic rendering of a farmer sitting on his wooden horse-drawn wagon in front of the farmhouse. This rural scene and the nostalgic vibe it emits is very typical for the artist. I’ll date the painting to somewhere between 1880-1900. Signed: “LUPLAU JANSSEN” in the lower right corner.
