This is an end piece, unpolished slab of Sonoran Dendritic Rhyolite (often called a Jasper), from Sonora, Mexico.  It is overall mostly shades of red/burgundy with just a hint of yellow and white highlights.  It feels pretty solid and no fractures that I can tell.  It has a number of red dendrites - creating some neat cab potential, just realize you are dealing with an uneven back side, thickness appears to be mostly 5-11 mm, with one spot looking a little thinner.  Could be polished as a display piece, or even left unpolished as-is.  (5652)
